Metrico Wireless Expands the Scope of Device Performance Services
FREDERICK, MD – January 12, 2009 – Metrico Wireless has expanded its device performance services stemming from partnerships with additional wireless carriers. As a result of the increased partnerships, Metrico has further invested in field and lab test resources and equipment, benefitting both current and future Metrico clients.
Metrico Wireless Inc., a leading provider of performance measurement solutions for the wireless industry, uses its national lab testing facilities to conduct comprehensive tests of more than 100 different types of wireless devices each year. Devices also undergo field performance testing with scenarios designed to capture device performance from the consumer perspective in a live network setting. Metrico’s wireless manufacturer and carriers customers include key players such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Samsung and Research in Motion.
Metrico continuously sets new standards for wireless device testing. For instance, the company uses a unique testing approach that involves analyzing audio quality using a special, synthesized speech pattern representative of a multi-lingual environment. This audio pattern also mimics both male and female voice pitches.
In addition to voice quality testing, Metrico’s comprehensive testing program also analyzes key data quality metrics such as data throughput for various protocols that support numerous data and multimedia services.
