Normalizing for Network Variability	In every test case, the device under evaluation is tested in parallel with one or more reference devices (golden phone), in order to provide indication for network variability and a numerical point for normalization of the collected performance statistics.
Collecting Large Sample Sizes	Using standard statistical techniques, Metrico collects sufficient samples to ensure repeatability of performance metrics.
Developing Performance Thresholds	The most difficult question in performance analysis is determining what level of performance is sufficient. Metrico's approach is to let the market decide. Every service provider sets its own performance thresholds using performance percentiles extracted from our large database of device performance. For example, a carrier can select as the threshold the 25th percentile of performance for all devices tested on its network over time, thereby rejecting the bottom quartile of devices.
