Chromatic does not require any physical connection to the device so the tests accurately reflect the subscribers' experience. In addition, no software needs to be loaded on the device. Chromatic uses a high quality camera to capture what is happening on the screen, so its score represents the performance that the end user actually sees. The key to Chromatic is that we "instrument" the content, versus measuring handset performance though software or using data probes in the network.
